Lenten Study (youth/adult)
The Walk: Five Essential Practices of the Christian Life
For over 1,500 years, the church has been observing Lent, which is the 40-day period before Easter commemorating Jesus’ journey to the cross, death, and resurrection.
This year, we will have that opportunity using Adam Hamilton’s study The Walk: Five Essential Practices of the Christian Life. In The Walk, Adam Hamilton focuses on five essential spiritual practices (worship, study, serving, giving, and bearing witness to our faith) that are rooted in Jesus’ own walk with God and taught throughout the New Testament. In each chapter, Hamilton explores one of these practices, its New Testament foundation, and what it looks like to pursue this practice daily in our personal life and together in the life of the church.
The meetings for all ages will take place on Monday evenings from 5:30-6:30pm (Feb. 23, March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30); there will also be a Zoom option for the Monday adult/youth class.

Do you like to do cross stitch? If you do, we’d like to ask you to join us in a long standing Newlonsburg tradition – making personalized bookmarks for our 2026 confirmands. All materials and instructions will be provided to you – it’s easy, it’s fun and our finished products are a meaningful reminder to our confirmation class how much God loves them. If you are interested in helping out by stitching one (or more!) bookmarks, please reach out to Susan Keaney. Many, many thanks!

"Teachings of Jesus" Yard Sign Sale
The yard signs reflecting teachings of Jesus Christ that are currently displayed in front of the church will be available for purchase at cost ($13 per sign) in November while supplies last. These signs convey simple and direct messages meant to unify our community. Purchasing and reposting these signs in our neighborhoods will continue these efforts--otherwise, these signs will be placed in storage for possible future use.

Souper Bowl of Caring
Souper Bowl of Caring
Here at NPC, we start Super Bowl Sunday off right by joining with congregations around the country by helping our needy neighbors through the Souper Bowl of Caring. It's a simple, yet significant act of caring for others. Monetary donations and cans of soup are collected. These donations will be immediately put to use in our Loaves and Fishes Emergency Food Pantry. Thanks for helping meet the needs of hungry families in our community during this extremely difficult time. It's a Newlonsburg thing!
