Worship Music

Music is an important part of worship at NPC, where we acknowledge that music is a God-given gift that uplifts and edifies the worshipper.  At NPC, music in Worship serves to:

Worship and Praise God

Strengthen Our Community as we Worship Corporately

Enhance the Minister’s Weekly Message

Inspire our Hearts and Spirits

Early Service Music

Our early service is held “family style” in our Fellowship Hall, where traditional row seating is interspersed with tables that facilitate enjoyment of available coffee and donuts. The music styles at this service are a blend, that range from contemporary worship music, traditional and contemporary folk music, as well as some traditional hymns. Music for this service is lead by a mixture of volunteer musicians of all levels and is organized by our Music Director.

  • Small Vocal Ensembles
  • Guest Musicians
  • Adult Ensemble
  • Clarinet Choir
  • Instrumentalists

We like to leave the invitation open to all who have an interest in music and participating in worship. We enjoy our fellowship in preparing for worship as much as we do the music we are preparing.

The Adult Ensemble meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 to prepare for upcoming worship services. Additional groups and NPC Musicians meet on an as-needed basis to prepare for the early services in which they will participate. Anyone interested in participating in one of these groups is most welcome and should contact the church office or the Early Service Music Director at

Late Service Music

Our late service, traditional in style and held in the sanctuary, features the Chancel Choir under the direction of Bettie Jarosz and organist, Matt Klumpp. The choir is made up of talented and committed vocalists who sing a variety of classic and modern anthems, rehearsing on Thursday evenings at 7:30.
See our choir on You Tube.

The Bell Choir rehearses Thursday evenings at 6:15 while joyfully ringing on nearly 5 octaves of Schulmerich Handbells and 2 octaves of Malmark Choirchimes. Their participation in worship has been on a monthly basis.

Additional musical offerings are provided by Newlonsburg's own musicians, by guest musicians and by the teachers and students of the Newlonsburg Music Academy.

There are always available positions in the choir, a continual need for more ringers with the bell group and a multitude of opportunities for an individual to praise God through music. Please don't be shy about identifying where you might fit into our musical family.
