The marriage service is a service of worship consisting of: music, vows made and exchanged, prayers offered, Scriptures read and a blessing bestowed.

In order to enhance the dignity of the service, the Session of this church abides by the Book of Order of our Presbyterian denomination.

God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.
