Childcare During Worship Services

We welcome children to stay in Sunday worship and learn how to worship, but nursery, Children and Worship, and a nursing room are available during our late service.  Our childcare is always attended by 2 adult caregivers and sometimes a teenager in addition.  All adult volunteers have clearances as required by Pennsylvania state law and have participated in a Child Protection Training provided by Newlonsburg Church.

Our greeters or ushers will be glad to take you to the room if you wish someone to show you the way.

NURSERY

Room 2__ (Infants - 3 year olds)

There are rocking chairs for quiet comforting or sharing a story. There are toys and a place to crawl in this loving environment. A changing area and sink are also located here.  Our only requests are that diaper bags be clearly marked and any special needs of the child, such as food allergies, be identified to the nursery volunteer.  You sign in and someone will come get you if your child needs you.

CHILDREN AND WORSHIP

Room 105 (4-year olds - 2nd Graders)

This worship service, which presently runs concurrently with the late Sunday worship service during the school year, quietly takes the four year olds, kindergarteners, first graders, and second graders through a service that they can understand and appreciate.  The service follows the adult order of worship and involves a storyteller. This worship service is designed to prepare our younger church goers for a lifelong faith journey. It uses “Young Children at Worship”, based on Montessori methodology using hallmark biblical stories.

NURSING ROOM

Room 208

The Sunday morning "Nursing Room" is where moms and their babies can have a quiet and private space. Supplies are available in the upper cabinets in that room. The room is set up to broadcast the late service so moms can also listen to it.
